One difference in the east is what they call their milk. My californian nonfat is now called skim. Even at starbucks, i now order a tall SKIM caramel macchiato.

that's funny. i never realized 'skim' was east coast lingo. that's what i've been calling it this whole time.
i can't say with complete certainty that it's an east-west thing. i'm just basing it on starbucks. i noticed they ordered my high maintenance drinks differently here. and the label on the actual milk (as you see here) is different. but it's a subtle difference...

i must have converted to east coast lingo since i always called it "skim". hmmm... not sure about if this is an east vs west thing.
